Night skies

Lying on your lap, away from the worries of the world, I see in your eyes a love that seems endless, a love that has grown abundantly over time. I lend my shoulders and tell you that all will be fine, that your heart will always be safe with me. We are each others child, playing grown up when the other takes the turn to be a juvenile. Free and happy, I want us to be like this forever. Yet, one day all these may go away. Like how the workings of the universe brought us together, it may separate us. If that day comes, I shall cry many nights away. And wish you all the happiness in the world, for you have brought so much into mine.
